Indirect Cost Recovery Program

Howard University has implemented the Indirect Cost Recovery (IDCR) Program to improve current practices for assigning indirect cost recoveries (also known as Facilities and Administrative (F&A) costs, indirect costs, or overhead). The primary aim of the program is to enhance collaborative research ventures between investigators in different departments, centers, and schools.

Summer Faculty Fellowship Program

Awarded annually by the Office Research, summer faculty research fellowships are available for tenure-track assistant professors in the Academic and Health Sciences campuses without summer support to launch programs or finish a project involving their research or creative activities. Only tenure-track faculty with nine-month appointments are eligible for the program.

Small Equipment Grant Program

Faculty members from all departments across the University are eligible to submit an application for the Small Equipment Grant Program. Funding will be provided to the faculty member for the purchase of small equipment or research resources.

Faculty Recognition Program

The Faculty Recognition Program will honor outstanding Assistant, Associate, and full Professors for their research accomplishments.

Research Month

Howard University Research Week has been renamed Howard University Research Month in order to expand the opportunity to celebrate and honor the tremendous research that is conducted by our faculty, students and research staff.
